Carlos Fuertes, Senior Manager, IT Services, South Europe

Carlos Fuertes joined Kemira Ibérica S.A. in Barcelona, Spain in 2000.  At first he was responsible for establishing a professional IT service department in Spain. At the moment Carlos works as Senior Manager, IT Services for South Europe: Spain, Portugal, France and Italy.

In his role Carlos ensures the cost efficiency and high quality of IT services in South Europe. He also initiates development projects based on regional business requirements and participates in planning and implementing global IT services. “Sometimes it is challenging with time management, when we have multiple projects going on at the same time, but it is also very rewarding to see the development”. 

Carlos says that there is extremely valuable human and knowledge capital at Kemira. “Every day I can share experiences and knowledge with very interesting people. The company also offers opportunities to further one’s professional career”.

For the future, Carlos has two complementary aims. He wants to improve and optimize the operative IT services capacity to increase efficiency. In addition he wants to utilize innovative IT solutions to develop strategic business advantages for Kemira.
