Kristiina, HR Assistant Trainee

Kristiina Airola is a BBA student from HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences. She worked as HR Assistant Trainee in Kemira's Global HR team in Helsinki, Finland during fall and winter 2009. Her job included many challenging tasks and she participated in many stimulating projects.

Kristiina says that working in a global company was really rewarding and she had great opportunities to improve her international skills. For example Kristiina participated in a global project to rediscover the company’s values. She thinks the project was fascinating and she met employees from many other countries and cultures and learnt much from them during  the project.

One purpose of the trainee period was to find a topic for a thesis. For Kristiina it was easy to find a topic from her daily tasks. She chose to write her thesis on re-discovering company values.

Kristiina recommends Kemira to motivated and enthusiastic students who enjoy continuous learning and want to develop their skills in an international athmosphere.
