Multi-area Business in Germany

Since the establishment of its first specialty chemicals plant in 1994, Kemira has expanded its operations through acquisitions to cover German water intensive industries as well as pulp and paper industry. Also Kemiras activities in the oil & mining sector grows continuously in Germany. The specialty chemicals segment serves customers e.g. in the pharma & chemical industry.

Kemira Germany has over 100 employees. The main activities are based in Leverkusen. It is home to Kemira Germany’s headquarters, as well as the sales and application service center, which both serve the pulp and paper industry as well as the customers from the oil & mining sector.

Kemira’s water business serves municipal waste water and drinking water plants, and even power plants. The production site in Rheinberg manufactures ferric (III) chloride. The service center for water customers is located in Alzenau.
