PaperTech 2010 pre-seminar, Hyderabad, India

"Make Indian Pulp & Paper Industry World Class"

The pulp & paper sector is one of the energy & water intensive sectors and offers tremendous scope to improve its environmental performance. Increase in productivity through the adoption of more efficient and cleaner technologies in the sector will be most effective towards merging economic, environmental and social development objectives.

The water, energy and environmental performance of any paper plant depends on the level of production and the technologies employed. Thus pulp & paper manufacturers are increasingly on the look out for technologies and best practices that reduce the ecological footprint of their businesses.

In this background, the Energy Efficiency Council of CII - Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre is organising "PaperTech 2010" on June 16-17, 2010 at CII - Godrej GBC, Hyderabad, India.

The main objective of this conference is to disseminate latest trends and technologies and serve as the platform to share and interact on the progress made in developing world class pulp & paper plants.

The seminar will mainly focus on:

  • Latest technological trends
    • Water conservation
    • Waste management
    • Energy Efficiency
  • National & international best practices
    • Case studies with high replication potential
  • Initiate and develop an e-forum as a spontaneous information sharing platform
