Mr Tapio Käär, President for Tikkurila Coatings Oy, and Mr Tom Nurmi, President for Tikkurila Services Oy and Vice President, Technology, for Tikkurila Oy, will retire in the course of the year 2003. Due to this fact, the following reorganizations will be made within the Tikkurila Group:
Mr Ulf Koivula has been appointed Executive Vice President for Tikkurila Coatings Oy as from 15 March 2003. Since 1994, he has held various manager positions within the Tikkurila Group in, for example, Italy, the United Kingdom, Singapore and the Baltic states. He was previously employed by the Beckers Group and Sadolin (known today as Akzo Nobel Coatings) with industrial coatings as his main responsibility. After Tapio Käär's retirement Ulf Koivula will enter his position as the new President for Tikkurila Coatings Oy.
Mr Juha Mäkinen has been appointed Vice President, Operations, with effect from 1 April 2003. He will be responsible for production and logistics within the Tikkurila Group. His latest position was as Vice President, Protective Coatings and OEM Product Finishes, for Tikkurila Coatings Oy. Mr Mäkinen will report to Mr Visa Pekkarinen, President for Tikkurila Oy.
Before the summer of 2003 Tikkurila Oy and Tikkurila Services Oy will be merged. Information concerning the future division of tasks will be published as soon as the necessary decisions have been made.
