Kemira Oyj has sold the Group's headquarters in Helsinki to CapMan Real Estate I Ky fund, releasing the capital tied in the head office building at Ruoholahti, Helsinki, to be used for developing the Group's core business areas. Kemira will remain as a tenant in the building, and will lease the four top floors. The parties to the transaction have agreed on not disclosing the selling price.
The Kemira House, built in 1986, was planned by architect Ilkka Pajamies. The Kemira House is built in red brick, consists of eight office floors above ground level and two floors below ground level, in all 25,500 m2 of which 16 000 m2 offices. The building is located on leased property owned by Helsinki city.
