On December 21, 2006 Kopperverket KB, owned by Kemira Kemi AB, sold Kemira’s office building, R&R laboratory building, villas and sports facilities as well as land totaling five hectares in Helsingborg to a real-estate investment company in Sweden. The land was sold with a right of repurchase exercisable upon zoning (SEK 1).
The total sale price of around EUR 6.9 million (SEK 62.5 million) was paid in full when the deal was closed. Kemira will lease the office building for ten years and the R&D building for 15 years. It may re-lease the premises, if necessary.
