Kemira aims to become a leading water chemistry company focusing on the needs of our three segments: Paper, Water and Oil & Mining. They all have water knowhow and related products as common elements. The logic of the current segment names has not been clear to all our stakeholders so far with one segment being named Water and the other two segments describing their customer industries. Therefore, we have decided to change the name of the Water segment into Municipal & Industrial.
There are several benefits of doing this. The name clearly describes the customer base of the segment, which range from small municipalities to large cities and many different industries. It also helps to describe Kemira as a water chemistry company for all of our customer segments.
