Dewatering

Most sludges, even in their most concentrated form, contain too much water for economical or convenient disposal. Mechanical methods to reduce this water concentration, thereby increasing the solids concentration, are termed sludge dewatering. The most common methods of sludge dewatering are:

  • select separation
  • select flocculation
  • filter aids

The same family of chemistries support the kaolin clay effluent treatment processes:

  • clarification
  • thickeing
  • dewatering

We are the world’s largest producer of inorganic coagulants and one of the world’s largest producers of organic flocculants and high molecular weight flocculants.  This wide range of products allows us to tailor the most cost effective solution to any dewatering application.
