Calcium Acetate 

Calcium Acetate, (CH3COO)2Ca (E263), in food industry is used as a growth inhibitor for certain bacteria. It is used in bread and other baked foods to prevent rope formation and to extend the shelf life.

Kemira's Calcium Acetate is available as a white powder or agglomerate. Both versions are chemically identical, and differ only in physical form.

Kemira's Calcium Acetate is an AIB approved and Kosher certified product, and conforms to the U.S. Food Chemical Codex V.
