Kemira Progusta CA – calcium acetate

Calcium Acetate, (CH3COO)2Ca (E263), in food industry is used as a growth inhibitor for certain bacteria. It is used in bread and other baked foods to prevent rope formation and to extend the shelf life.

Kemira's Progusta CA - calcium acetate is available as a white powder or agglomerate. Both versions are chemically identical, and differ only in physical form.

Kemira's Progusta CA - calcium acetate is an AIB approved and Kosher certified product, and conforms to the U.S. Food Chemical Codex V.
