Effective and reliable solutions for forage and feed preservation

Kemira Oyj has a broad portfolio of high quality products for ensiling and preservation of different types of feedstuffs. Successful ensiling and preservation secures feed safety and good economical outcome of the farmer.

Continuous development work in cooperation with research institutes and industrial partners provides user friendly, easy to apply and environmentally benign products for feed conservation. For example, the Kemira AIV® / KemiSile product range, developed together with the Finnish dairy company Valio Ltd, is a modern solution for today’s farmers all over Europe. 

All the products are widely tested and have been used with excellent results over many years. By using Kemira’s silage additives and preservatives, farmers can increase their use and quality of home grown feed, thus maximizing profitability. Furthermore, high quality silage and grain increases milk production improves milk quality and enhances the growth of beef animals.

Kemira’s product offer for farming is a selection of unique products: Kemira AIV®, Kemira KemiSile, Kemira Propcorn and Kemira Stabilizers.

Kemira’s AIV® and KemiSile products control the ensiling and crimping processes. They also protect silage or ensiled high moisture grain against harmful mould and bacteria growth.

Kemira’s Propcorn products prevent spoilage of feedstuffs (cereals, hay) caused by molds and yeast, which are stored in aerobic conditions.

Kemira’s Stabilizer products prevent total mixed ratio from heating and provide energy to the animals. In addition Stabilizer products prevent harmful microbes from growing in wet/liquid feed stuffs.
