Preservation
Preservation of feedstuffs is based either on low dry matter content or suitable preservative. Preservatives prevent the growth of spoilage and harmful microbes in the feedstuffs. The biggest problems are caused by molds and yeast. Preservation is usually done in aerobic conditions e.q. feedstuff is exposed to air during the storage.
Kemira Propcorn products prevent spoilage of feed raw materials such as whole grain and food by-products caused by moulds and yeast during storage. Moist whole grain is preserved in moisture content of 15 to 30% at harvest.
Kemira Propcorn products prevent spoilage and improve quality of all types of baled hay, with a maximum moisture content of 25%.
