Total mixed ratio

Total mixed ratios are prone to heating after mixing. Heating means nutrient losses and reduced feed intake. Heating can happen only within few hours after mixing in warm or temperate conditions. Remains of old TMR in the mixer wagon or bad quality raw materials (e.q. silage or by-products) can easily spoil the ready made TMR in a short time. TMR is also an ideal substrate to prevent any harmful and spoilage microbes, e.q. clostridia, salmonella etc.

Kemira Stabilizer TMR products prevent heating and improve the hygienic quality of TMR. Kemira Stabilizer L is a liquid product and Kemira Stabilizer S is a solid product. Application rate is between 2 and 4 kg/liters per ton TMR. In addition of preservation, Stabilizer TMR products provide energy for cattle which helps to prevent ketosis in early lactating cows.
