Chlor-alkali Products

Our Chlor-alkali products are manufactured utilizing the “Best Available Technology” (BAT, as defined by the European Union).  We serve customers in chemical, water treatment, food, pharmaceutical, crop protection, pyrotechnical and metallurgic industries. We strive to provide unparalleled, first class products serving regional and global customers.

We utilise the BAT technique to manufacture our core products of chlorine, caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid. Our Joutseno plant in Finland is a forerunner in membrane electrolysis technology, starting to use it more than 20 years ago. This technology guarantees the quality and the purity of our products.

One of our key strengths is reliable and flexible delivery. Customer specific packaging and efficient logistic solutions are the two basic hallmarks of our custom tailored deliveries. We work hand-in-hand with our customers to fine-tune our understanding of their specific needs.

Hydrochloric acid (HCI). Our pure hydrochloric acid made by using demineralized water has a number of uses, mainly in chemical industry.

Sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) is supplied mainly to starch industry, water treatment, pharmaceutical and cleaning products industries.

Sodium chlorate (NaClO₃) is provided for chemical, pyrotechnical and metallurgic industries and for weed control.

Hydrogen (H₂). Pressurised hydrogen is delivered for resale to many industries for use as a processing material.

Chlorine (Cl₂). Our chlorine is produced using the Best Available Technique. Our main customers are in the electronic and metal industries, as well as in the purification of water and general disinfection.

Caustic soda (NaOH). Besides supplying our own BAT-production of caustic soda, we also provide our customers with all grades of caustic soda.
