Most Kemira colorants are suitable for dyeing paper and board for food contact applications. Therefore, all of our dyestuffs comply with consumer goods regulations and Recommendation 36 of the BfR (German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) and are not affected by the ban on azo dyestuffs. Bleed fastness must be tested according to DIN EN 646, using the finished paper, and the test should be conducted by the paper manufacturers.
