Process Water

Recycling water in pulp and paper production is extensive and circulating water streams must be cleaned to remove any detrimental substances such as extractives and non-process elements, while  increasing the quality of the final product. Kemira’s offerings in this area are coagulants and flocculants. The NetFloc concept is also part of process water treatment.

Kemira NetFloc® is a solution for internal water treatment. NetFloc is a chemical kidney ready to be installed in the process. Use NetFloc when:

• Decreases in water and energy usage are required in the process
• There are defects in the final product, or wet-end breaks arising from dirty white water
• Heavy metals cause deposits and engender higher demand for bleaching chemicals
• Odor problems in the final product lead to irritation
• The COD load of the waste water treatment plant is too high
