RETAMINOL®

Kemira is one of the top PEI (polyethylene imine) manufacturers supplying directly to the paper industry.

The Retaminol® product line includes polyethylene imines, polyamide amines and polyacryl-amides. These products are available in emulsion, powder, and solution forms, and in cationic and anionic charges. RETAMINOL® products are most widely used to improve drainage, retention and formation.

In addition to the individual products Kemira also offers an "online dual system". This is based on the use of two cationic retention agents with different modes of action. The combination of polyethylene imine/polyamido amine and polyacrylamide (PAM) unites the advantages of these two product groups and produces optimum retention and drainage results. The two components are combined in a special unit in such a way that they can be metered like a single component. This saves "maturing" time and thus cuts the cost of preparing the PAM emulsion. The mixing and metering are carried out continuously and can be adapted to meet the retention and drainage requirements in each paper mill.
