Scale Control

Kemira’s antiscalants are a versatile family of polymeric and dispersant chemistries designed to handle a variety of scale problems encountered by water treatment specialists. The various polymer structures and compositions target industrial, cooling and boiler water applications. Kemira polymers and formulations inhibit the precipitation of alkaline earth metal salts, alter crystal morphology, disperse silt sludge and biological matter, stabilize calcium phosphate, and provide iron transport. The range of functions promotes cleaner systems, leading to better heat transfer, improved economics, and longer equipment life.

Chemical Pulp

In chemical pulp mills, scale is commonly found in digestors, evaporators, green liquor areas, white liquor, washers, bleaching steps and heat exchangers.
