In a mixture with other chemicals, magnesium acetate is introduced into a fusion oven to a temperature range between 1350-1550 ºC. The mixture becomes liquid, after which it is suddenly cooled with water, obtaining a crystalline and insoluble material: the frit. Enamels are produced from frits, which can be presented as powder mixtures or liquid dispersions, and other additives and colours.
