Ferrous Sulfate
Kemira ferrous sulfate is a cost effective solution for chromate reduction in cement in order to meet the requirements of EU Directive 2003/53/EC.
Kemira has designed a selection of ferrous sulfates to serve a variety of a cement mills’s needs. Specific attention has been paid to easy storage and dosing properties of the reductant. Ferrous sulfate is typically dosed either in the cement grinding mill feed or alternatively as the very last step in the production process.
The selection of the right product is a compromise between economic and process parameters (granulate for ease of transportation and storage vs. treated and ground for easy dosage and runnability)
