Rubber

Formic acid is a very effective ingredient in the production of high quality rubber from the naturally obtained raw material, especially when high elasticity of the final product is required (gloves, rubber bands, toys, adhesives for carpets).

In the rubber industry, formic acid is used for coagulating latex in the production of natural rubber. Formic acid is mixed with latex milk tapped from rubber trees to produce the coagulated rubber. This rubber is processed into tires and several other rubber products.

Our formic acid is well known and highly appreciated in all natural rubber producing countries all over the globe. In the production of high quality natural rubber formic acid plays an important role and gives a big quality advantage compared to other acids.
