Connecting and networking is very helpful to open up dialogue in the company and to foster an equitable, safe and supportive business environment for our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees and their allies. Our employee resource groups, including those based on LGBTIQ+ and gender help create a sense of belonging.

At Kemira, alongside our employee resource groups, we also offer access to unconscious bias training, allyship training, specialized learning, mentoring and more ways to continue to learn and grow in your career.

We are committed to further develop our diverse and inclusive workplace. That is why Kemira has set a diversity and inclusion target to further demonstrate this commitment. We have set a KPI to reach the top 10% cross industry norm for inclusion by 2025. Our employees are the true drivers of our sustainability transformation, and a diverse and inclusive culture enables us all to bring our best selves to work every day.

Our Code of Conduct defines our commitments towards our employees and other key stakeholders through 19 principles including principles around diversity & inclusion, fostering safe, respectful and harassment free environments and freedom of association. Employee resource groups at Kemira

Our employee resource groups (ERGs) are communities supporting and amplifying employee voices at Kemira. ERGs are voluntary groups organized and formed by employees on the basis of shared identity or experience. We currently have two ERGs, with more to come.

KemPride Employee Network

Our KemPride Employee Network fosters an equitable, safe and supportive business environment for our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees and their allies. It provides opportunities for all LGBTIQ+ employees and allies at Kemira to connect with others and make a difference within our company. The KemPride Employee Network organizes regular meetings, virtual and in-person events, trainings and learning opportunities for members of the network as well as for all Kemira employees.

Women’s Network

Our Women’s Network is focused on building a stronger and more inclusive organization with a greater range of perspectives in the male-dominated chemical industry, and on attracting and retaining our exceptional female talent. The Women’s Network hosts a highly successful annual 1-day FemPower forum that focuses on inspiring (our) women to recognize opportunities, take actions in pursuing their dreams & creating a more inclusive working environment. The Network also drives a valuable mentoring program, holds regular meetings and hosts trainings and learning opportunities.
