What have we done?
We partnered with external expert in accessibility to evaluate and audit our website accessibility based on WCAG 2.1 accessibility conformance requirements. In website production process, our website pages design and code were updated utilizing Level A and AA Success Criteria. To make our content available to a wide range of visitors, we used guidelines issued by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to improve our accessibility features.
How are we doing?
With all new and existing website components that have undergone major refresh in 2021, our website is now implemented at a minimum of WCAG 2.1 Level A and most of Level AA standards, where practicable. They are designed for modern web browsers but should be accessible in all browsers. The pages may not appear the same in old browsers or browsers that do not follow internet standards, though the information should still be accessible.
Throughout the website, some pending accessibility improvements such as text and background contrast and navigation element are addressed. We expect these issues to be attended in ongoing website improvement. We will also ensure that latest WCAG accessibility conformance requirements will be embedded into the creation of new website components in the future.
How are we testing?
We measure our site using a variety of methods, such as browser plug-ins, external vendor assessment, and individual page testing by our own content creators. This continuous approach helps ensure that accessibility will be maintained as guidelines change and technology evolves. We document any found issues and prioritize them according to overall impact and level of effort to fix. Issues that greatly affect the website experience are immediately addressed.
We make use of different third-party websites and services such as YouTube, Euroland IR to provide different information about Kemira. These sites and services, which are not controlled by Kemira, may present accessibility challenges that we are not able to control or solve.
Additionally, when navigating away from this website to third-party managed websites through hyperlinks, we cannot guarantee that the destination website will comply with the accessibility requirements of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
