On June 21, a fire occurred at Kemira’s Europoort plant in Rotterdam. No one was injured, and all personnel and the surrounding areas are safe.

The fire was quickly contained by colleagues at the site and the local fire brigade. As a precautionary measure, the plant was immediately shut down and emergency response protocols were activated.

We are currently working to assess the full extent of the damage. We have also initiated a thorough investigation into the cause of the incident and are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of our people, the environment, and our operations.

The plant will remain offline for the time being as we carry out repairs and recovery. Our customers and supply chain partners have been informed, and we are working closely with all relevant stakeholders.
