“From manufacturing the product to delivering to our customers, safety is our first priority”, says Lucy Pouliot, Senior Manager, Rail Logistics. “As a responsible company, it is our obligation to ensure that we maintain the highest standards in inspecting, loading/unloading and securing tank cars. This is an amazing achievement for our team who handle such a high volume of shipments while demonstrating our strong commitment to safe practices and processes.”

With these 4 awards already announced, Kemira is now eligible for the prestigious Grand Slam Award given by the Association of American Railroads (AAR) for the second time. The criteria for receiving this award includes being recognized by at least four class 1 railroads and having zero non-accidental releases (NARS) during a calendar year. Such releases can occur during loading or off-loading of products or in-transit due to improperly secured railcars.
