Kemira sells industrial service company OnePoint Oy to Kokkolan Voima

Kemira sells the industrial service company OnePoint Oy’s entire share capital to Kokkolan Voima in accordance with a letter of intent signed between the companies in December 2006.  The agreement is dated on March 31, 2007.
At the same time, Kokkolan Voima engaged in a business transfer of the maintenance operations of OnePoint Oy to Maintpartner Oy.
Operating in the Kokkola large-scale industry area, OnePoint Oy is a leading service and infra company that offers and develops services relating to infrastructure and production. The company employs about 130 people with revenue amounting to approximately EUR 22 million.
The Kokkola large-scale industry area forms the biggest concentration of inorganic chemistry firms in Scandinavia, with approximately 20 companies operating in the area. Kemira has a sulphuric acid factory there. In line with its strategy, Kemira is focusing on the development of its four business areas. Industrial services are not part of Kemira’s core business.
