AMA® biocides for oilfield operations

Aluminum Chloride
Kemira Aluminum Chlorides (KEMIRA ACL) are effective primary coagulants on an aluminum base. The products are used in a variety of municipal and industrial applications, primarily for color, organic matter, suspended solids and phosphorus removal.
Aluminum sulfate
Kemira is producing a broad range of Aluminum Sulfate products. We provide high quality aqueous solutions as well as different grades of granulated material. These special "iron-free" products are perfectly suited for drinking water applications.
Anionic and Nonionic Polyacrylamides

Biodegradable chelating agents
Kemira’s Fennobio products are readily biodegradable (OECD test criteria), efficient chelating agents for chemical, mechanical and recycled fibers.
Bulking sludge and foam control
The formation of bulking sludge and foam in a biological process is mainly due to excessive presence of filamentous bacteria. Kemira FilamentEx® has been developed to address theseproblems and bring stability back to the wastewater process.
Cationic Polyacrylamides

Kemira's PolyDADMAC are high performance organic coagulants. They are liquid, cationic polymers of differing molecular weights and are often used in filtration applications or in conjunction with our flocculant products.
Polyaluminium sulfate
Kemira Polyaluminum Sulfate (KEMIRA PAS, PASS) is a basic, polymerized aluminum sulfate. It contains highlycharged aluminum and will offer advantages such as rapid floc formation, excellent particle removal and improved cold water performance.

Sodium Aluminate
Kemira Sodium Aluminates (KEMIRA SAX) are high quality, consistent, high basic solutions of aluminum. The product can be used in many water and wastewater treatment applications, in papermaking, and as a raw material intermediate in commercial industries.
Sodium bisulfite
In the pulp and paper industry sodium bisulfite is used as a sulfonation agent in CTMP production and in the production of sodium dithionite.
Sodium chlorate for chlorine dioxide
Sodium chlorate is mainly used for the on-site generation of chlorine dioxide, a key bleaching agent for chemical pulping.
Sodium hydroxide
Kemira sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) is used in pulp cooking and it is produced using the environmentally friendly (BAT) membrane technology.
Sulfur dioxide
Sulfur dioxide is used for producing bleaching chemicals like chlorine dioxide and sodium dithionite. It is also used in the pulp bleaching process.
Sulfuric acid
In pulp and paper industry sulfuric acid is used in large volumes for chlorine dioxide generation, tall oil splitting and pH-adjustments.
